A Thoughtful Choice, Close to Home
A Thoughtful Choice Books & Games began the same way many good things do — around a kitchen table, surrounded by books, games, and curious kids.
I’m a Florida mom who has spent years walking alongside children in many different learning environments. Our family experience includes public school, Waldorf education, homeschooling, Acton Academy, and prep school. Additionally, I worked as an executive function and learning coach supporting children and young adults in their pursuit of academic excellence. Along the way, one thing became very clear: there is no single “right” path for learning.
But there are thoughtful choices that make any path richer.
Why A Thoughtful Choice Exists
As parents, we’re surrounded by options. Endless lists. Endless recommendations. Endless noise.
But more choices don’t always lead to better decisions.
A Thoughtful Choice Books & Games was created to quiet the noise and make choosing well easier. Every book, game, and learning tool in our shop is carefully reviewed and thoughtfully selected for lasting value, not trends.

While we’re rooted locally, we serve families everywhere who value thoughtful learning and meaningful play. We’re especially familiar with families drawn to homeschooling, homeschool co-ops, faith-based learning, traditional Waldorf, Waldorf-inspired education, Steiner schools, Montessori and Acton Academy schools— as well as families navigating more traditional school settings.
